Permit Information

As a customer, you are more than welcome to send your mailing out using our postal permits. However, if you have us inkjet the permit information on to the mail piece, there is an additional charge above our normal addressing rates. You can save money by having your printer print our permit information on your mail piece. If it’s done while the printer is printing the postcard there is no additional cost.

There are a couple general guidelines that should be followed when adding the permit information to the mail piece:

1)     Don’t use smaller than 4pt. font for the permit text.

2)     Place the permit information in the upper right hand corner.

3)     Keep a minimum of ¼ in. between the permit information and the edge of the postcard.

Following the guidelines above will ensure your mail piece meets the Postal Service’s requirements. It is possible to vary from the guidelines, however, it is a good idea to have the Postal Service review and approve the design prior to having it printed. Typically, we just fax a copy over to them and they take a look at it.
